Control of the Pacemaker DefiBrillator

The control of the pacemaker/defibrillator is done at regular intervals, usually every 6 months, using special programmable devices. The duration of the test shall not exceed 30 minutes.

During the test, the following shall be carried out:

  • Checking the condition and life of the pacemaker battery.
  • Check and possibly modify the pacing parameters.
  • Checking and recovery of tachyarrhythmia episodes such as atrial fibrillation.

Some newer devices are equipped with heart failure monitoring algorithms (physical activity measurement and pulmonary congestion monitoring through chest resistance).

HealthSpot is the only diagnostic center where this test is performed.
