How to prepare for your CT scan

Depending on the area being examined, it may be necessary for you to receive an intravenous contrast agent or ingest a contrast agent. You can continue taking your medication as usual on the day of the scanning. If you have undergone previous tests of the same kind, or any tests related to the reason for the new CT scan, please ensure you bring them with you on the day of the test.
